Dr. Phil shuts down Bill Mahers ICE raid diss as | TV Shows

Bill Maher and Dr. Phil butted heads on national tv after the comic lit into the well-known therapist for helping Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) brokers on deportation raids across America.

“Why are you going on these ICE raids? I don’t understand that,” Bill requested Dr. Phil on Friday evening’s episode of Real Time With Bill Maher on HBO.

Bringing up the work Dr. Phil has famously completed on his years-long therapy discuss show,Bill said, “You’re a man who, for so many years, has been working to put households together, to carry households who are aside and heal them. And now you’re going on raids with people who are actually separating households. Explain that.”

The controversial psychologist seemed to brush off Bill’s concerns, shutting them down with his “now that’s bulls–t” reply.

Dr Phil then questioned, “If you arrest somebody that’s a citizen that has committed a crime, or is DUI with the child in the backseat, do you think they don’t separate that family right then, right there?”

Bill then suggested that while Americans didn’t want violent criminals in the country, those aren’t who ICE is targeting.

“A lot of Latinos in this city are hiding. If you can’t go to work, because you’re hiding, what other recourse is there for them, except crime?” Bill shared. “I feel like this is going to turn out the opposite of what they wanted.”

Bill is a prominent critic of Trump and the POTUS’ administration, especially in recent months. During the opening monologue of the Aug. 8 episode, he slammed the continuous ICE operations and the administration’s unwillingness to reevaluate their deportation plan.

“I don’t get Trump, I really don’t,” Bill noted. “ICE, going around there with their masks, throwing people into vans—not popular, and yet he’s doubling down on unpopular.”
