DWTS fans mock Hilaria Baldwin after ‘fake’ accent | TV Shows

Hilaria Baldwin might have escaped elimination during the first cut of Season 34 of Dancing With the Stars, but the controversy surrounding her past continued to see her being mocked by viewers.

The 41-year-old, who is partnered with Gleb Savchenko this season, has been mired in controversy since she was announced as half of the forged due to her scandal over her faked heritage and her husband, Alec Baldwin’s, legal woes.

However, she has been performing admirably with the judges, at least effectively enough to keep away from elimination on the ABC show thus far —even when she admitted she finds her dances to be “embarrassing.”

Unfortunately, routines close to the top of the judges’ leaderboard with scores didn’t save her after a post-show interview from week two surfaced online. She seemingly returned to previous habits and began faking a Spanish accent.

Speaking with Good Morning America about her time on the show so far and transferring her children to Los Angeles while she filmed, many fans rapidly observed she slipped back into the Spanish accent that was revealed to have been a pretend back in 2020.

The clip, which surfaced on TikTok and Instagram, noticed her slipping back and forth between the faked accent and her natural American one, and fans rapidly ripped into her for utilizing it.

“Why the accent is my only question,” one particular person questioned on Instagram.

“The accent, Please stop, She is from Massachusetts,” another slammed.

“Still trying to sound hispanic@ Stop it already,” a third added.

“Gleb is getting that Alec look. Can’t tell if it’s disdain or dissociation,” a fourth joked.

“Gleb is KILLING ME with his facial expressions,” a fifth shared.

The clip got here after she revealed in her memoir Manual Not Included, that her fluctuating accent is due to diagnoses of ADHD and dyslexia.

“And these [diagnoses] greatly impact my speech, my reading, my listening, my focus, my memory and my self-confidence,” she wrote at the time.

Dancing with the Stars airs Tuesdays on ABC.
