Erika Kirk reunited with the last person who spoke to her late husband, conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, before his September assassination.

Hunter Kozak requested the widow if she would condemn what he described as the “violent rhetoric” of President Donald Trump, particularly highlighting feedback he made on Truth Social that appeared to accuse Democratic lawmakers of “seditious behaviour, punishable by death.” His post got here after a number of Democratic members of Congress urged troops to defy what they deemed illegal orders.

Kozak, the Utah Valley University pupil who was the last person to speak to Charlie before his neck was pierced by a bullet from a .30-06 rifle while giving a speech to a whole bunch at a Turning Point USA event on the Orem, Utah, campus, appeared with Erika at a CBS News city corridor on Saturday night time.

Erika’s response to Kozak was simple — she thanked him for the query, then acknowledged, “I will never agree with political violence. My husband is a victim of it. I’m a victim of it.”

Trump calls for execution of Democratic congresspeople

Kozak’s query referred to remarks the president made about a collection of Democratic members of Congress who called for troops to disobey illegal orders.

“SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH!” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Thursday morning after hours of reposting replies to a Washington Examiner story that called for the executions.

“HANG THEM GEORGE WASHINGTON WOULD !!” Truth Social consumer @P78 wrote, replying to the Examiner’s story. Trump later “reTruthed” that post.

White House denies that Trump called for executions

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt denied that Trump was calling for the execution of the Democratic members of Congress, all of them veterans, who called for troops to disobey illegal orders.

“No,” she merely responded when requested whether or not that was the that means behind Trump’s Truth Social posts.

She clarified that defying the army chain of command might create national security dangers and lead to deaths, then argued that “every single order that is given to this United States military by this commander-in-chief and through this command chain of command, through the Secretary of War, is lawful.”
