Former Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez was reportedly stabbed early Saturday morning in downtown Indianapolis and is in secure condition after being hospitalized.
Sanchez, 38, was in the town to broadcast the Colts’ sport against the Raiders for Fox on Sunday.

“Mark Sanchez was injured in Indianapolis on Saturday and is currently recovering in the hospital in stable condition,” Fox Sports said in a assertion. “We are deeply grateful to the medical team for their exceptional care and support. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mark, and we ask that everyone please respect his and his family’s privacy during this time.”

While it’s unclear what led to the incident, police had been called around 12:30 a.m. relating to two injured people, according to GWN, which first reported the stabbing.
Sanchez, the No. 5 general choose in the 2009 NFL Draft, spent 4 seasons with the Jets before also showing in video games for Philadelphia, Dallas and Washington.
