On the recorded call, Trump cited a number of conspiracy theories that have since been debunked. This consists of claims of shredded ballots in Fulton County, compromised Dominion voting machines, and hundreds of “dead voters.”
He also advised that Raffensperger and his legal counsel, Ryan Germany, had been taking a “big risk” and might face legal publicity if they did not act on his claims. “Respectfully, President Trump: What you’re saying is not true,” Raggensperger said at the time, including that “the data you have is wrong.”

Trump misplaced the 2020 election in Georgia by a slender margin. Fulton, a suburb of Atlanta and the state’s most populous county, drew the most consideration.
