President Donald Trump spoke about his displeasure with Iran’s selection of a new supreme chief; however, critics didn’t agree with his feedback.
On February 28, President Trump, 79, confirmed in a video posted on his Truth Social platform that the U.S. and Israel launched joint army strikes against Iran, which led to the death of former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. On March 8, Iran appointed its son, Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, as their successor, whom Trump claimed he “would back” the killing of if he refuses U.S. calls for.
On March 10, during Fox News‘ broadcast of Fox and Friends, Chief Foreign Correspondent Trey Yingst mentioned with hosts Brian Kilmeade, Ainsley Earhardt, and Lawrence Jones what the president told him.
Yingst said to the trio, “Overnight, I spoke with President Trump for about 20 minutes, as he traveled from Florida back to the White House.
“We spoke about Epic Fury, how it is going, and his ideas on Mojtaba Khamenei, Iran’s next Supreme Leader.”

“He told me.” Yingst stressed, “He’s not glad with that choice.
“Adding, ‘I don’t believe he can live in peace,'” he closed.
Viewers took to social media and mocked the president’s statements. They claimed the president appeared sad because he lacked the ability or authority to appoint Iran’s new supreme chief.
One particular person wrote, “Not happy? Trump isn’t in charge of Iran.”
Another particular person added, “Trump says he’s ‘not happy’ with Iran’s new leader, but what does that even mean when he just pushed us into this war? Is displeasure enough strategy, or are we watching diplomacy by tweetstorm?”
A 3rd wrote, “Trump isn’t in charge of who talks and when. Boo hoo. So unhappy. Iran isn’t playing his way.”
Although Trump had his critics, the president did have a supporter who agreed with his feedback and shared, “Trump is finishing the game with Iran.”

This comes as a Top Iranian security official despatched an eerie risk to the president.
Ali Larijani took to X and tweeted, “Iran doesn’t fear your empty threats. Even those bigger than you couldn’t eliminate Iran. Be careful not to get eliminated yourself.
Larijani responded to a Truth Social post from Trump, which warned Tehran about halting oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz, an issue that has become increasingly escalatory and led to skyrocketing gas prices globally.
“If Iran does anything that stops the flow of Oil within the Strait of Hormuz, they will be hit by the United States of America TWENTY TIMES HARDER than they have been hit thus far,” the president wrote.
Additionally, we will take out easily destroyable targets that will make it virtually impossible for Iran to ever be built back, as a Nation, again — Death, Fire, and Fury will reign upon them — But I hope, and pray, that it does not happen!” Trump completed.
