Laura Ingraham got here to the protection of Donald Trump after the devastating World Cup loss, which irked conservatives.

On July 7, the United States Men’s National Team was eradicated from the FIFA World Cup event with an embarrassing 4-1 defeat to Belgium. A day before the match, FIFA revealed that Folarin Balogun’s pink card and suspension from the sport had been put on maintain for a 12 months in extraordinary circumstances. It emerged that President Donald Trump, 80, had been instrumental in securing the lifting of Balogun’s suspension.

Ingraham argued that the U.S. workforce, not Trump, was to blame for the upsetting loss. This got here after Balogun took to Instagram to issue a heartfelt apology to USA supporters after the workforce’s loss to Belgium.

Ingraham mentioned with Clay Travis, the founder of OutKick, how it was Trump’s fault that the U.S. failed to win against Belgium. She was referring to the women of The View who blamed the president on-air for the loss.

Ingraham initially said, “You know, these people are so inconsequential. But it does kind of illustrate how [Trump] lives in their head.”

She continued, “Our team did not play well last night. I’m not a soccer expert.”

Travis added, “We played…”

Ingraham completed his sentence, “Terribly.”

Travis went on, “We played awfully. And it had nothing to do with President Trump.”

Ingraham smiled, shook her head, and said, “I agree.”

Viewers took to social media to slam Ingraham’s feedback, arguing Trump shouldn’t have meddled with FIFA.

One individual said, “It has everything to do with Donald Trump. He made it all about Donald Trump. He interrupted the natural flow of soccer and burned our country’s a–.”

Another individual added, “The team clearly was not playing as it used to, and the reason is Trump. By intervening with FIFA and changing the championship’s natural trajectory, he put a lot of pressure on the team; they felt they owed him, and that’s why they screwed up!”

A 3rd wrote, “I’m surprised Laura didn’t blame Antifa. Trump created a huge distraction and almost an international incident. This loss is right on his shoulders.”

Despite the criticism, Ingraham still had a supporter who shared, “Who cares about soccer?!? Glad the U.S. is out of there! We have better sports than soccer!”

Following the workforce’s loss to Belgium, Trump spoke out on Truth Social, though not about the defeat itself.

Ahead of the printed, Trump wrote, “The United States Military has never been stronger or more powerful. No other Nation can do what we do. It’s not even close! This year, we set even more Historic Recruiting Records, months ahead of schedule. Morale has never been higher.

“Our Military’s unmatched POWER was on full show during our Celebration of 250 Years of American Independence and, like our Country, the WAR DEPARTMENT has never been ‘HOTTER.'” He added.

The president failed to attend any of the U.S. men’s World Cup matches, despite having five chances to do so.
