How NYC’s Mayor Gutted the Biggest US Navy Parade | Political News

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D) is going through accusations of undermining what was meant to be the largest U.S. naval parade in 50 years during the Sail4th 250 occasions celebrating America’s 250th anniversary.

Maritime skilled, CEO of gCaptain, and a member of the Pentagon Press Corps, John Konrad, alleges that Mamdani’s administration used a number of metropolis companies to create obstacles, including complicating Navy permits, deploying barricades that misdirected crowds, and shutting down ferry service to the sold-out Governors Island viewing space following a minor in a single day storm.

Konrad cites a number of navy sources, ranging from O-5 ranks to admirals, in laying out a long string of allegations on X.

“Mamdani closed the ferry to the main viewing area (on the) morning of the US Navy parade,” he initially states relating to what has been reported as a “flash storm.”

“There was a minor storm the night before the parade, and Mamdani ordered the ferry that services the island closed,” Konrad wrote in a follow-up post. “The storm was good luck for Mamdani, but that’s irrelevant: sources within NY DOT tell me someone close to the mayor was looking for mechanical or safety reasons to close it regardless.”

The New York Post reported on the storm that occurred the night time before the event, noting it brought on “significant damage” to the Premier Access viewing space on Governors Island, prompting organizers to cancel paid tickets and issue refunds for security causes.

Konrad, however, stays skeptical that such a Navy-celebrating event would trigger a ferry shutdown, given that the system “is operated by teams of extremely capable sailors and marine engineers” who “eat minor storm damage for lunch.”

The skilled Pentagon reporter also accuses Mamdani’s administration of making Navy permits far more troublesome to acquire than in earlier occasions, steering crowds away from prime viewing spots, and exploiting the Navy’s own security tradition to keep warships anchored far from spectators.

Konrad also hinted at even more egregious conduct behind the scenes.

Embedded tweet continues:

… forcing the Navy to cancel.

He stalked a sailor and engineered a joke to catch him laughing for his own propaganda.

He used the Navy’s own security tradition against them to keep warships far from the crowds.

He promised to promote occasions then did nothing to promote them.

He did favors for local media in exchange for them underplaying the event.

These are all details from a number of sources from O5 all the means up to admirals. But they aren’t the most grievous details, those I can not write without official affirmation or at least a source keen to communicate on background.

And he did it all via quite a few NYC departments and representatives as a distributed assault while claiming he himself was supporting the Navy.

He is in full insurrection against the federal authorities, the US navy and the Republic for which it stands.

And worse: he’s good and was extremely efficient at sabotaging the event which was initially deliberate to be the greatest Naval Parade in 50 years.

Konrad’s detailed allegations have been posted in direct response to a widely shared post by NYC Councilwoman Vickie Paladino (R), who claims that current stories of a high-ranking official in Mamdani’s administration attempting to conduct shadow diplomacy counter to US international coverage with an enemy this nation is at the moment at conflict with is another instance of sabotage.

CrimsonState’s Sister Toldjah reported on the stunning story of Commissioner Ana María Archila’s attempt to meet with Amir-Saeid Iravani, Iran’s everlasting consultant to the United Nations, which was shut down by the State Department.

Paladino suggests Mamdani and his workforce, by attempting to have interaction in talks with Iran, are conducting a “soft secession.”

“He (the mayor) considers New York an independent city-state with its own foreign policy, immigration policy, and economic policy. He does not recognize the authority of the federal government except to the extent he can extract money or political wins from it,” Paladino asserts.

“The intent is to use the sources and authority of New York City to wage conflict against the federal authorities and the relaxation of the nation. The DSA (Democratic Socialists of America) is sort of open about it. They’re telling us what they plan to do, and Zohran is executing.”

Paladino believes colluding with Iran is just one half of Mamdani’s DSA-fueled plan, noting “they will collude with any and all of our enemies.”

The intent is to use the sources and authority of New York City to wage conflict against the federal authorities and the relaxation of the nation. The DSA is sort of open about it. They’re telling us what they plan to do, and Zohran is executing.

Colluding with the Iranians was just another means to that end. They will collude with any and all of our enemies, because the said objective of the DSA is to dismantle the nation from within. Again, they are saying all of this out loud. No inferences needed right here.

In this specific case, the assembly with the Iranians was sidelined by the State Department. But the intention is crystal clear, and just because a high-profile assembly was stopped doesn’t suggest there is not back channel communication and cooperation occurring between the DSA/Mamdani admin and the Iranians. Obviously there may be. Meetings like this do not just materialize out of skinny air, and ties between the DSA and Iranian-linked fronts like the People’s Forum are too many to depend.

Now what are we really going to do about this?

We’re WAY past the level that it may truthfully be argued that the DSA is not an insurgency decided to carry down the nation. I actually assume it requires a navy resolution now; take this out of the corrupt civil court system and use the navy to roll up the DSA and charge them as revolutionary insurgents. Do it while we still can and keep away from inevitable future bloodshed.

Together, the two accounts paint a image not just of botched efforts but of a deeper sample of defiance against federal authority.

Whether Mamdani’s administration actually set out to kneecap the Navy parade or merely fumbled the execution of a huge public event amid tight security stays an open query that deserves real solutions from metropolis officers.

We reached out to the Mayor’s workplace for remark on Konrad’s claims. We’ll keep CrimsonState readers up to date if they reply.
