Indiana Republicans Problematic Remark About

Indiana’s legislature has been contemplating whether or not it is going to do redistricting that may help increase more Republican seats. 

As we reported, some of the Republicans have been already throwing blocks into the thought. President Donald Trump had reportedly been in contact with Hoosier lawmakers to inform them how important this was for holding onto the House, and Republican Gov. Mike Braun was encouraging it as properly. 

This comes after officers with the Indiana State Senate announced earlier this month that they might reconvene next month to make a “final decision” on redistricting. According to earlier reviews, Indiana Senate President Pro Tem Rodric Bray, a Republican from Martinsville, said the Indiana State Senate would reconvene on Dec. 8 as half of the common 2026 session.

He said he is not going to vote for it because Trump used the time period “retarded” in reference to Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz during a Thanksgiving post about immigration. He said it disturbed him because his daughter has Down Syndrome.

“I will be voting NO on redistricting, perhaps he can use the next 10 months to convince voters that his policies and behavior deserve a congressional majority.”

This is just incorrect; that is not how you need to be deciding payments. You ought to be deciding payments based on whether or not the choice on the invoice is best for your district (in this case, Michiana Shores) and Americans, not based on whether or not you do not like a phrase that Trump has used.
