ITV viewers issue complaint as Rob Brydons new game | UK News


ITV viewers issued the same complaint as Rob Brydon‘s new game show premiered on Sunday (January 4). The Floor options 81 quiz lovers battling it out in head-to-head challenges on a large LED flooring divided into equal squares, with each sq. representing a different space of experience. Contestants goal to dominate the complete flooring and declare a £50,000 money reward.

The format is simple – a randomly chosen participant challenges a neighbouring rival in a quiz battle, competing in their opponent’s specialist subject. The victor claims their rival’s sq. and expands their territory, while the defeated contestant exits the competitors. As the programme advances, the battles intensify and the strain mounts.

However, audiences weren’t impressed with the show’s construction, with quite a few complaints flooding X (beforehand Twitter), experiences the Mirror.

“More like The Bore…. The game itself is so repetitive and dull,” one viewer posted, while another commented: “The floor is a bit tedious, even after only 30 mins. Not sure even Rob Brydon can save this from being a very forgettable show.”

A 3rd remarked: “Nah this is just s*** boring . Too drawn out,” with another equally stating: “Bit of a slog this innit?”

Another viewers member questioned: “What fresh hell is this?” while a fifth individual commented: “So questions are too hard for us now are there? Picture rounds for every round?! What a weird game.”

A sixth viewer expressed: “I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE YELLED AT A SHOW LIKE THIS.”

Meanwhile, other viewers appeared to benefit from the new programme, with one individual declaring: “Really loving this so far.”

Another commented: “Loving this new game show. Easy to play at home,” while a third enthused: “Absolutely loving The Floor!! It would make such a good board game!”

A fourth viewer noticed: “The UK version of The Floor’s delivered everything I hoped for and more and Rob is a great choice, as expected. Only thing I’d say is £50,000 seems a little bit stingy as the jackpot.”
