After a prolonged three-year break, Netflix subscribers have once again been transported to the spooky city of Hawkins, where a host of new faces be a part of the beloved crew.

The first quartet of episodes from Stranger Things‘ fifth season are now obtainable, monitoring our favourite group as they pursue season 4’s villain, Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower).

As Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) gears up for her impending showdown with the beast, the remainder of the gang are busy formulating their own plans to help the mission.

Viewers meet the brash newcomer Derek Turnbow, who is seen tormenting Holly Wheeler by spinning the playground carousel at high velocity while she’s aboard.

Jake Connelly is an American actor who scored his breakout position in Stranger Things 5.

Before becoming a member of the Netflix show, Connelly’s sole IMDb credit was a short movie named Between the Silence.

At just 13 years previous, Connelly was only 4 when the show first aired, but he managed to catch up on the favored sci-fi sequence a few years back.

During an interview with The Wrap at the season 5 premiere, he shared: “I started watching it a good couple of years ago, probably around when Season 4 came out.

“We would sit down as a household every evening and watch an episode before mattress. It was just so enjoyable seeing every thing that my mother grew up with in the ’80s,” added Connelly.

Despite being new to the cast, Connelly received a warm welcome from his fellow cast members. In the same interview, he mentioned that the show’s lead, Brown, was especially hospitable.

He reminisced: “I gotta say, one of the first days of the desk read, Millie Bobby Brown called me over to her [trailer] and – my mother had no concept where I went – I used to be just there with Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi just chilling it up, just speaking.
