Broadcast journalist Jim Acosta has asserted that Donald Trump is “undoubtedly” experiencing cognitive decline.

During a dialogue with fellow broadcast journalist John Harwood on media outlet Zeteo, he characterised the president as displaying “malignant narcissism” and said, “There’s no query… about his cognitive decline and whether or not he is just a man in decline.

“I feel that’s undoubtedly the case. I imply, if we’re not going to imagine our own eyes and ears anymore…” Last month, Trump appeared to go to sleep during a press briefing in the Oval Office.

Acosta continued, “This is the stuff that they’re waving in all people’s face about Joe Biden, and Joe Biden was not falling asleep all the time in entrance of the cameras the way in which Donald Trump is. I imply, it is form of embarrassing.”

Harwood interjected, “You’ve received the bruised arms, you’ve got received the neck and received the face, one facet of the face is sagging…”

Acosta replied, “Yeah. He received performed by the Iranians, received performed by the French, he received performed by Netanyahu.

“You know…if you don’t laugh at it, it’s a very dangerous moment… that I think we’re in the middle of right now,” he continued.

“He has put the Iranians in a position where now they feel emboldened. I would think maybe they’ll wait until the coast is clear a little bit.

“But I might suppose they’re even more emboldened now to have a nuclear weapons programme than ever before that,” he added.

These comments mirror observations made by Trump’s niece Mary Trump, a psychologist and author, who contended that her uncle’s “decaying” health can no longer be dismissed and indicated he appears caught in a “downward spiral.”

In her weekly newsletter published on June 23, she voiced renewed concerns regarding the 80-year-old president as speculation about his health persists, reports the Express.

Addressing what she characterized as his unpredictable behavior, late-night posts on social media and the struggling Iran peace negotiations, she stated, “He might still have moments when he seems more coherent, but psychologically he is in a downward spiral.

“He’s experiencing constant narcissistic injuries, and nothing terrifies Donald more than humiliation.”

Her remarks arrived as examination of the president’s bodily and mental state intensifies throughout his second time period.

Reports of swollen ankles, bruising on his arms, a rash on his neck and claims of cognitive deterioration have amplified questions about his fitness.

White House spokesman Steven Cheung responded forcefully to the allegations, rejecting Mary’s analysis and calling her a “stone-cold loser who doesn’t have a clue about anything.”
