Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel slammed Spencer Pratt’s success in the Los Angeles mayoral major as “insane” during his show Wednesday night time — while also acknowledging the silent assist among Democrats for the upstart candidate.
During his opening monologue, Kimmel said LA voters “should be very embarrassed” for placing Pratt in second place and on monitor to make it to the final election in November to face off against Democrat incumbent Mayor Karen Bass.

“Barring a late ballot buzzer beater, it appears that Mayor Karen Bass will advance to a runoff against the former reality show villain,” he said. “Sixty percent of the vote has been counted. If that holds, it means that in November, Los Angelenos are going to have to choose between a woman named Karen and a man who is one.”
Discussing California’s sluggish vote-counting course of, Kimmel then admitted: “It could take a while for Democrats here in Los Angeles to figure out which of their friends secretly voted for Spencer Pratt.”

Pratt and Bass remained in the top two spots on Thursday with 62% of the votes counted, according to the Associated Press.
As of Thursday morning, Bass had 35% of the vote, while the previous actuality star had just shy of 30%. Far-left LA Councilmember Nithya Raman was in third with 22.8%.
The tally formally secured Bass a spot in the November runoff election.
Another update on the vote rely from county election officers is anticipated on Thursday afternoon. The official certification of the outcomes of the June 2 major will happen June 26.
