The stars of Loose Women celebrated some thrilling Christine Lampard news just minutes into the show’s ITV return. The programme returned to screen on Monday (April 27) after weeks off air, following the broadcaster’s cuts last 12 months. Christine was joined by Coleen Nolan, Nadia Sawalha and Jane Moore, as they ready to focus on the day’s topical tales. But before they turned to the largest news headlines, Coleen took a second to mark an important milestone for her co-star.

“Before we carry on with the show and all the topics, we have to say it was a big, big week this week, wasn’t it, for your husband,” Coleen said to Christine. At the weekend, the star celebrated with her husband, Frank, after his soccer staff, Coventry City, secured their return to the Premier League after 25 years.

“From the football perspective, and anyone that’s obviously a football fan will get what the moment was at the weekend. Coventry were promoted to the Premier League, they’ve won their league – they’re top of their table. I think they were 17th when [Frank] took them on,” Christine said.

“It was just the most special day yesterday. He’s got a brilliant coaching team around him. They’re all really good mates. The players are a bunch of lovely lads. All of their partners and wives, all the children were there yesterday. It was a really special moment. And all of the people who work behind the scenes that never really get mentioned. You don’t see them on the pitch, and they were all there just being part of this magical moment… It is a big achievement.”

A clip was then performed of Frank praising Christine at the EFL Awards earlier this month. While choosing up his gong for Championship Manager of the Season, Frank said: “I am fortunate enough at this point to have a life balance, which is important for us, where I can go home to my wife, who supports me and gives me everything I need. She’s my best friend.

“No, but she is, and it is critical. I’m fortunate. She has her own profession and so I feel she type of will get it.”

Back in the ITV studio, Christine noted: “He could have had a couple of beers, just placing it on the market first, just to settle the nerves as he put it. Another enormous accolade.”

She added: “It was a beautiful second. And to be honest to him, he did not just wax lyrical randomly and invite me up on the stage. He was requested about what household life was like in phrases of residing in the soccer world. Obviously, it is not just me. It’s all of the companions, everybody that’s at home. There’s no Christmases, there’s no weekends, no Bank Holidays… Anyone doing any shift work at home will get it.”

Coleen then joked: “Can I just say, I do know with you it makes you embarrassed and a bit squirmy when it is accomplished in public. But if I had been there, or if I had seen that on telly live, and he hadn’t of talked about you, I do not assume I could possibly be his buddy after that.”

Jane concluded: “It’s an acknowledgement of all of that dedication that he is doing. The fact that he is acquired a household, he would not have the opportunity to do that as nicely as he does without having back-up and assist at home. So many people, I feel, overlook that.”
