A chilling true crime documentary has left Netflix viewers so terrified they’re struggling to sleep as it explores a stunning case.

House of Secrets: The Burari Deaths is presently streaming on the platform, but numerous fans stay “still haunted” by the three-part collection.

Originally launched in 2021, the documentary collection transports audiences back to 2018 and one of India’s most notorious instances.

During that period, 11 members of the family have been found useless in their residence, triggering a large police inquiry.

Reports at the time recommended their ugly deaths left police officers fully baffled by the horrific method in which their our bodies have been found, alongside quite a few “spiritual” handwritten messages, stories the Mirror.

The disturbing documentary, carrying an 18 certificates, examines the chilling case, the nationwide hysteria and media scrutiny, while also offering a complete look into the household’s background and “dark secrets”, that includes exclusive interviews.

Netflix hints: “Suicide, murder – or something else? This documentary series examines chilling truths and theories around the deaths of 11 members of a Delhi family.”

Despite being launched back in 2021, it continues to horrify viewers globally, exploring a large case that shook all the nation. The episodes even carry a warning at the start stating “viewer discretion is advised.”

On IMDB, one viewer described it as “spine-chilling”, commenting: “It’s a 3-episode mind-numbing documentary that should be seen and discussed as much as we can.”

One viewer remarked: “A truly disturbing true crime story of the deaths of an entire family. The documentary was well made and interviewed the relevant parties. Though the last episode focused heavily on psychology and speculation, the first two episodes were utterly captivating.”

Another agreed: “This had me hooked within the first 20 minutes. I can’t believe this is a true story – so very sad and mind boggling.”

Earlier this month, a member of the Netflix Bangers group on Facebook confessed they “felt so disturbed”, with another responding: “I didn’t sleep for days it was like a nightmare.” A 3rd added: “I lost sleep over this it still haunts me..”

A critic from Rotten Tomatoes praised: “A really gripping documentary that gets you right at the start. For a fan of true crime/occult/paranormal – this may just be one of the best case presentations to exist.

“It retains you pondering for a while. The manufacturing is high-quality which is just another plus to an already gripping case.”
