The future of Netflix’s dating show, Too Hot To Handle, is reportedly in jeopardy. The widespread sequence, which has aired six seasons since its inception in 2020, has been put “on hold,” according to insiders.

Like Love Island USA, the show’s format entails a group of singles positioned in a tropical location.

However, not like its competitor, contestants must abstain from bodily contact while searching for love, all in hopes of making it to the finale and successful the prize money.

A source warned followers that the show won’t return for another season, telling The Sun: “Execs at both terrestrial channels and streamers are increasingly using terms such as ‘on hold’ and ‘resting’ for shows that do not repeat as expected – and many never return.”

The insider also identified that a number of other titles produced by the global streaming giant have been ignored in favor of others. New applications like Emma and Matt Wills’ Love Is Blind are reportedly performing properly in phrases of viewership.

Following the triumph of the inaugural season, Netflix greenlit two further installments of the sequence. The show reached its fourth season by 2022, with a fifth version following in 2023.

The sixth season broadcast last 12 months, culminating in a remaining showdown between {couples} Bri and DeMari versus Katherine and Charlie, with their fellow Too Hot To Handle contestants casting votes for the victors.
