NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell is requesting permission to travel to Iceland after surrendering her passport to court officers.
Cantrell is asking for permission to travel to Iceland for trip with her household in October, according to court paperwork.
Fraud investigation lands New Orleans doctor in prison
Cantrell surrendered her passport after pleading not guilty to fees in her federal indictment, including conspiracy, wire fraud and obstruction of justice, on Sept. 10.

Her travel was restricted to within the Federal Eastern District of Louisiana.
