Pete Hegseth boasts about killing six | Political News
U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth boasted Friday morning about killing six narco-terrorists in the ninth U.S. strike on an alleged drug trafficking ship.
Over the past seven weeks, the U.S. army has struck 9 alleged drug-carrying boats in the Caribbean and the Pacific Ocean, killing at least 46 people in complete. Hegseth said the latest strike hit an alleged vessel of Tren de Aragua, a Venezuelan cartel, which the Trump administration designated a terrorist group, in the Caribbean. Six people had been killed in the strike, he added.
“Overnight, at the direction of President Trump, the Department of War carried out a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel operated by Tren de Aragua (TdA), a Designated Terrorist Organization (DTO), trafficking narcotics in the Caribbean Sea,” Hegseth wrote. “The vessel was known by our intelligence to be involved in illicit narcotics smuggling, was transiting along a known narco-trafficking route, and carrying narcotics.Â
“Six male narco-terrorists had been aboard the vessel during the strike, which was performed in worldwide waters—and was the first strike at evening,” he continued. “All six terrorists had been killed and no U.S. forces had been harmed in this strike.”
He warned, “If you might be a narco-terrorist smuggling medicine in our hemisphere, we’ll deal with you want we deal with Al-Qaeda. Day or NIGHT, we’ll map your networks, observe your people, hunt you down, and kill you.”
