Rylan Clark‘s mother Linda was rushed to hospital with a fractured shoulder following a horror fall exterior of her home while placing her garbage out. In the midsst of hte current cold snap the 73-year-old mistook ice for water and slipped leaving her requiring medical consideration. She detailed  the accident while showing on Rylan’s BBC Radio 2 show on Saturday January 10 explaining: “I just went flying and I hurt my arm again.” She said her arm was left “black” from the bruises and “so sore”.

Rylan wasn’t with her at the time and admitted he realized about her fall over the telephone. “Well that was a lovely phone call I got that morning, you on your way to the hospital. But it could’ve been worse, it could’ve been your arm and your leg like we’ve had before,” he conceded. Clearly involved for his mum’s effectively being he implored her to “be careful” including: “I need you to not make it any worse.”

Following Linda’s admission Rylan was flooded with support as listeners contacted the show to ship their heat needs.

“So many of you getting in touch,” he revealed. “Thank you, yeah she is alright by the way. She’s fractured her shoulder, I just can’t help her, you know what she’s like, rushing around doing stuff. In all fairness though, it was an accident, she just slipped on some ice,” he said.

This is not the first time Linda, who has appeared opposite her son on Celebrity Gogglebox, has given Rylan a scare by being rushed to A&E.

In July last year he was forced to pull out of his BBC Radio 2 show after his mum was rushed to hospital with a mystery illness. Rylan informed fans that he would be absent from his usual Saturday afternoon show, explaining that Linda had been taken to the emergency ward.

Posting on Instagram he announced: “Mummy Linda is not effectively sadly so I will not be internet hosting the show tomorrow. Thank you to the emergency workforce at Princess Alexandra Hospital. Especially Tanya who actually seemed after my mum. Will keep you up to date as she’s on the mend. She’s a trooper.”

In September 2023 Rylan requested followers to pray for her as she underwent surgical procedure after struggling a critical fall while they have been on vacation together.

He penned: “So sadly I took my mum away on her first vacation in a good few years and sadly she’s had fairly a dangerous fall, ensuing in her having to have surgical procedure out right here. Cheers Scott for overlaying me at Radio 2 and Thanks to the people out right here that have despatched their effectively needs. Praying for a profitable surgical procedure and a fast recovery. Will update you on mummy. Linda as and when I can x.”

The broadcaster has beforehand shared his mother’s health struggles with Crohn’s disease, admitting she has practically misplaced her life “three times” due to the condition.
