The Western miniseries Texas Rising follows the charming story of how the Texas Rangers had been created. The show, which consists of 5 episodes, delves into the Texas Revolution against Mexico and how the Rangers had been shaped.Unlike other series or movies which focus on the Texas Revolution, this show focuses on General Sam Houston and the Texan Army as Santa Anna marches to end off the Texans.

Four-time Golden Globe Award and Primetime Emmy Award nominee Bill Paxton portrays General Houston in the series. The actor, who has also starred in Titanic, Apollo 13, Aliens, and Predator 2, sadly died in 2017 at the age of 61 from a stroke. Other high-profile forged members embody Jeffrey Dean Morgan, of The Walking Dead, Back to the Future star Crispin Glover, and The Mummy’s Brendan Fraser.

The battles shown embody the Battle of San Jacinto and the Goliad Massacre, which noticed around 450 Texan prisoners of conflict executed by the Mexican Army on March 27, 1836.

Texas Rising is now obtainable to stream on AppleTV and Prime Video, and followers have been sharing their ideas on the show’s “stand-out performances”.
