Star (*86*) actor Patrick Stewart dead at 86…
Beloved “Star Trek” actor Sir Patrick Stewart has died at 86.
Stewart handed away in his Los Angeles home on Wednesday after a “brief and poignant” battle with Alzheimer’s disease and Lewy Body dementia, according to a assertion on his Instagram.

“He has been held in the warm embrace of family and friends, surrounded by live music, prayer, tears, laughter, and the kind of profound emotion that only he could inspire after a lifetime of devotion to us all,” the assertion continued, including that he was “in the loving care of his beloved wife Sunny.”
“We will forever cherish the peaceful ease and reflection on his face, an enduring reminder of his invincible grace,” the tribute continued.
Born in Yorkshire, England, in 1940, Stewart loved a decades-long profession on stage and screen and was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2010 for his contributions to drama.
The classically skilled Shakespearean actor grew to become a family title in 1987 when he took the helm of the Enterprise as Captain Picard in “Star Trek: The Next Generation.”

He gained over a new era of followers in the 2000s as Professor Charles Xavier in the blockbuster “X-Men” movies.
He was nominated for a Primetime Emmy and a Golden Globe for his iconic portrayal of Captain Ahab in “Moby Dick” in the 1998 TV adaptation.

His other accolades embrace three other Emmy nominations, two Grammy nominations for spoken phrase performances and one Grammy Award for his narration on the spoken phrase album “Prokofiev: Peter and the Wolf.”
But his best-known position was probably the measured, commanding Captain Jean-Luc Picard, who delighted followers for many years on the large and small screens — most just lately in the “Star Trek: Picard” sequel sequence that aired from 2020 to 2023.
“What we leave behind is not as important as how we’ve lived,” Stewart’s Picard said in “Star Trek: Generations.”
Stewart is survived by his spouse and two youngsters — his daughter, Sophia and son, Daniel.
