Stephen Colbert slams Trump after staffer compares | TV Shows

Stephen Colbert has brutally mocked Donald Trump after one of his employees members in contrast him to an “alcoholic.”

In a Vanity Fair two-part collection, White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles was interviewed by Chris Whipple, with the project being launched on December 16. It has triggered a enormous stir online, partly due to the pictures used in the collection, such as one excessive close-up of Karoline Leavitt, which critics have called “diabolical.”

Speaking about the project on his late-night show, Stephen Colbert said, “Over the last year, Vanity Fair has conducted 11 on-the-record interviews with Trump‘s Chief of Staff, a woman named Susie Wiles. The article dropped today, and Susie dished, bish,” as he sassily snapped his fingers.

Continuing, the 61-year-old comic remarked, “It was kind of surprising. People are kind of shocked by how frank she was. She started with her boss, even though he doesn’t drink, Wiles says Trump ‘has an alcoholic’s personality.'”

This then triggered a roar of laughter from the studio viewers, as Stephen said, “I believe that, and frankly, I think it’s amazing he doesn’t drink because he sure sounds like it.”

The host then shared a compilation of clips which confirmed President Trump slurring his phrases, saying phrases incorrect, and being unable to articulate himself correctly during speeches.

During one video, he could not say “anonymous,” whereas during another, he was unable to pronounce “electrocution,” and in a third, he just said, “dead head fed, fed hair.” In a fourth clip, it appeared the president could not even pronounce the title of his own nation, as he stumbled over the time period, “God bless the United States.”

As the compilation got here to a close, the viewers once again burst into a match of laughter as Stephen moved the dialog on to the DOJ.

“So, for the last 11 months, we have watched Trump politicize the Justice Department in unprecedented ways to go after his political enemies, like James Comey and Letitia James,” the comic told his viewers, “but Wiles assured the interviewer, that ‘Trump is not constantly thinking about retribution,’ but she also said, ‘in some cases, it may look like retribution. And there may be an element of that from time to time. Who would blame him? Not me.'”

This is when Stephen quipped, “Okay then, I’ll do it,” before turning to the close-up digital camera and pointing, before saying, “Donald Trump, I blame you.” The crowd once again erupted, this time with cheers, as he continued by asking, “Did he resign? I thought the fingers would do it.”

Fans had been fast to react to the hilarious second, with one particular person writing on Facebook, “I can’t wait for this Truth Social response,” with a laughing face emoji.

Another particular person then added, “‘I really thought the fingers would do it’ lol,” as a third Facebook person commented, “Love that the gloves are off!” with a crying laughing face emoji.

Many people also praised Stephen immediately, as a fourth Facebook person penned, “I absolutely love this guy,” and a fifth chimed in to say, “Colbert for President.”
