Stranger Things is back on Netflix with half one of season 5 arriving on November 26.
The sequence will be break up into three volumes, with the first 4 episodes dropping at the same time, setting the scene in the autumn of 1987.

Speaking with Variety, co-creator Ross Duffer confirmed: “Every season would be like, ‘Should we talk about it?’ And we’d go, ‘No, let’s wait.’ And then finally, we’re like, ‘Well, we have to now!'”
Matt Duffer added of the ultimate outing: “We knew roughly what the end scene was for years — it wasn’t something we had a strain to come up with.
“There had been parts of it that had been mentioned for weeks, but the core thought of the ending, we had for a actually long time.

There are loads of fan theories about the Upside Down’s origins, with some believing it was created by Vecna as half of his need to rule Hawkins.
Alternatively, others consider it was Eleven who created the alternate world as an extension of her unconscious.
Production designer Chris Trujillo has beforehand hinted it was El who created the Upside Down, having spoken on the official Stranger Things YouTube channel.
He said: “The moment that the Upside Down was quote-unquote ‘created’ inadvertently by Eleven, the set dressing and the world of the Upside Down is frozen in that moment.
“So like when we’re in Nancy’s room, we’ll uncover in the Upside Down that Nancy’s room is as it was season one when we first had been launched to it.”
