Strictly’s Johannes Radebe says ‘I’ll cry’ after ‘stop’ | UK News

Johannes Radebe appeared visibly emotional on Sunday night time’s installment of Strictly after admitting, “I’ll cry.”

This comes after experiences earlier this week that the South African dancer is set to hold up his dance footwear after six years on the show. Johannes, who joined Strictly in 2018, has since stated that rumours the 2024 collection shall be his final are unfounded and he is “going nowhere”.

During Saturday’s show, Johannes and his superstar accomplice, Montell Douglas, 36, scored 36 factors. The public selected to keep the couple protected that means they’ve made it to Blackpool week.

In the studio, Claudia remarked: “Jo Jo, Montell says you’re the best coach she has ever had.”

Johannes responded: “Now that is something. You know I wear my heart on my sleeve. I’ll cry. That is gorgeous.” Montell added: “He is the best coach. He has so much patience and we have so much fun.”

It was reported earlier this week that the dancer had stop the BBC dance show as a consequence of feeling “overwhelmed” along with his ever-growing workload.

A source instructed The Sun: “Johannes is hugely loved on the show and there isn’t an atom of bad feeling about him leaving. Both he and the show’s bosses realise he is overwhelmed with work as a result of his soaring popularity and wish him all the best.”

They added: “For now, he just has too much to juggle alongside the contest. It isn’t just the announced projects that he’s working on, there are other opportunities in the pipeline too, which he can now explore further.”

But he then took to Instagram to disclaim the story.

Last week, the couple discovered themselves within the backside two, dealing with the dreaded dance-off. They carried out an emotional waltz to Whitney Houston’s I Will Always Love You as half of the show’s new themed week – ‘Icons’.

The dancing duo had the judges onside and survived the competiton for an additional week, with Johannes admitting: “To be honest with you I cried and she was there saying ‘it’s not over, the music is not over’.

“That day the teacher-student dynamic changed completely and I felt like we were partners at that moment and it showed us that we wanted to be here.”
