Travis Kelces friend convinced of Chiefs stars…
It’s not the phrase of Jason Kelce or Taylor Swift, but somebody close to Travis Kelce has a feeling about the tight end’s future.
Retirement rumors have swirled around Kelce after the Chiefs season ended, marking his thirteenth NFL marketing campaign. Fellow podcaster and former NFL linebacker Will Compton weighed in on what he believes the Chiefs star will choose to do in 2026 for one simple purpose.
“I bet Travis Kelce runs it back with the Chiefs for one more year,” Compton wrote on X on Friday. “Everything waiting for him will still be there. He isn’t ending his career 6-11, 3rd in the division, the laughing stock of the NFL, & seeing the dynasty he helped build continue to burn. He can’t go out like that.”

Compton, who had Kelce as a visitor on his show “Bussin’ With The Boys” with Taylor Lewan in July 2025, requested the three-time Super Bowl champ about his future in the league.
“I’m focused on this one,” Kelce said then. “I don’t know what next year is going to feel like. I don’t know what I’m going to feel like in March or April next year when I make that decision.”
For the 2025 season, it was clear Kelce didn’t need to end on the bitter notice that was shedding handily to the Eagles in the Super Bowl, 40-22, at the start of that 12 months. He made it identified in February that he was operating it back another 12 months.
But this past season didn’t end up any better.

The Chiefs went on to have a powerful 6-11 season and missed the playoffs for the first time in 11 years. On a personal notice, Kelce logged 76 catches for 851 yards and 5 touchdowns.
Since then, Kelce hasn’t said publicly what his future holds.
Compton believes 2026 will deliver a related determination from the 11-time Pro Bowler, despite his growing profession in media and podcasting with Jason for their shared show “New Heights.” Kelce is also set to get married to Swift this summer season.
