Trump announces Bondis shocking new job after | Political News

President Donald Trump announced Attorney General Pam Bondi’s firing in a Truth Social post on Thursday as he supplied insight into her new position.

The president also confirmed that he will probably be nominating Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche to fill Bondi’s position, calling him a “very talented and respected Legal Mind.”

“Pam Bondi is a Great American Patriot and a loyal friend, who faithfully served as my Attorney General over the past year,” Trump wrote. “Pam did a tremendous job overseeing a massive crackdown in Crime across our Country, with unlawful killings plummeting to their lowest level since 1900.”

“We love Pam, and she will be transitioning to a much needed and important new job in the private sector, to be announced at a date in the near future, and our Deputy Attorney General, and a very talented and respected Legal Mind, Todd Blanche, will step in to serve as Acting Attorney General,” he continued. “Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP.”

Bondi reportedly begged Trump not to fire her in an explosive White House showdown.

An insider said Bondi “was unhappy” after listening to that the president was contemplating letting her go and “tried to change his mind.”

Trump reportedly informed the attorney common on Wednesday night time, shortly after his disastrous Iran conflict speech, that her time at the Justice Department is coming to an end soon, a senior administration official told the Daily Mail.

Bondi responded by pleading with the president to give her more time in the position — but Trump was reportedly firm in his resolution to let her go.

Trump’s reasoning for Bondi’s dismissal is partly because he reportedly believes Bondi tipped off Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) about the FBI’s efforts to release investigative paperwork associated to his relationship with an alleged Chinese spy.

The FBI had been making ready to release a cache of paperwork on Swalwell’s relationship with Christine Fang.

The administration official told the Daily Mail that Bondi is “intervening in those matters” and that “the White House wasn’t pleased” about it “due to her personal friendship with Swalwell.”

Trump sends ‘robust’ message to Bondi a month in the past

As Trump launched Bondi during an event honoring Inter Miami CF at the White House on March 5, he appeared to issue a veiled menace to her after Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s firing.

The president called Bondi a “terrific person and fan” of the group, which was invited to the White House after profitable the 2025 Major League Soccer championships back in December.

“She’s proving how tough she is, and I think the next three years, she’s going to really prove it, right? Huh?” he said, addressing Bondi immediately. Trump cocked his head at her as he turned his praise into a query, trying at her expectantly.

He added that he hoped she would show her toughness “like these people,” referring to the group of soccer gamers behind him.
