President Donald Trump was reportedly so enraged at the Supreme Court’s ruling against his sweeping tariff reforms that he went on an explitive-laden rant against the court system during a closed-door White House event.

By Friday afternoon, Trump blasted the Supreme Court’s ruling, accusing the judges who voted to strike down his tariff polices as being “swayed” by international pursuits.

“It’s my opinion that the court has been swayed by foreign interests by a political movement that is far smaller than people ever think,” Trump said during a White House press convention. He also called the justices who ruled against him a “disgrace” and “fools and lapdogs”.

The scathing ruling held that Trump’s aggressive method to tariffs on merchandise coming into the United States from around the world was not permitted under the 1977 International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA).

The fallout from the Trump administration means that many—but not all — of Trump’s tariffs are neutralized. The president might still attempt to reimpose some tariffs utilizing other legal guidelines.

In response to the ruling, Trump said he will impose a 10% tariff utilizing a different law, which supplies him the ability to put tariffs in place for 150 days, at which level Congress must step in.
