Pressure is growing on the senior FEMA official who claimed to have teleported to a Waffle House in Georgia, with President Donald Trump now weighing in on the viral declare.

Gregg Phillips has for years told tales that have blurred the boundary between the extraordinary and supernatural, claiming that a useless girlfriend once lifted his car off the highway to keep away from a crash and that Satan spoke to him once as he walked across Spain. And after collapsing inside an Indianapolis Lowe’s, he claimed to have come to in a McDonald’s parking zone across the road, with 15,000 steps logged on his health app, a Big Mac in his lap and little or no understanding of what had occurred.

Phillips said many of the experiences that he claims occurred to him occurred while he was going in and out of treatment for metastatic bone cancer. Rather than present process chemotherapy, he selected instead to rely on a self-directed routine of ivermectin and fenbendazole — antiparasitic medicine both generally used to deworm animals.

Trump has now caught wind of Phillips’ claims, and he appeared baffled by them as he spoke with GWN last week.

“What does teleport mean? Was he kidding?” Trump said after being requested about Phillips’ claims. He was informed that Phillips had not, in fact, been kidding.

“I don’t know anything about teleporting,” was Trump’s response, including, “It just sounds a little strange, but I know nothing about teleporting or him, but I’ll find out about it right now.”

After reviews first broke about Phillips’ claims, the White House contacted the Department of Homeland Security — the mum or dad company of FEMA — and urged officers to either take away Phillips or keep him out of public view, an official told GWN.

“Everyone’s thoughts were, ‘What the hell is this? This guy has got to go,'” the official said.

Phillips was pulled from a scheduled listening to on Capitol Hill and has since quietly been sidelined from elements of FEMA’s operations, a number of company sources said. He was also directed to stop posting about his alleged teleportation expertise on Truth Social, another source told GWN.

Phillips was apparently livid and is now satisfied that Trump officers at FEMA and DHS are angling against him, a number of sources said. He’s grown more and more agitated and suspicious, a number of FEMA insiders told GWN.

He was also left off a journey last week that would have seen him accompany newly confirmed Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin to western North Carolina, where communities are still recovering from Hurricane Helene’s 2024 devastation.

Mullin introduced along two top FEMA political officers, but not Phillips, who oversees disaster response and recovery and who had traveled to the area himself after the storm.

Mullin instead appeared alongside performing FEMA chief Karen Evans and Associate Administrator for External Affairs Victoria Barton. He praised Evans during a roundtable that was held. Phillips was meanwhile not talked about.
