Donald Trump has dismissed a report that recommended his close aides had mistakenly texted secret plans about navy strikes in Yemen to a journalist, saying he “didn’t know anything about it.”
In an article on Monday, editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, Jeffrey Goldberg, mentioned that Trump administration officers had added him to a group chat on the app Signal which mentioned strikes in opposition to Houthi targets in Yemen, hours earlier than the assaults came about.
Speaking on the White House, Trump mentioned he was not conscious of the report.
“I don’t know anything about it. I’m not a big fan of The Atlantic. To me it’s a magazine that’s going out of business. But I know nothing about it. You’re saying that they had what?” he mentioned.

Some Democrats have referred to as for a probe into the incident, with Representative Chris Deluzio of Pennsylvania saying “heads should roll.”
