Wasnt Me! Newsom Frantically Reacts to Leftist | Political News

CrimsonState reported the story on Thursday: the extremist California Coastal Commission put the kibosh on the normal Long Beach Independence Day fireworks show, properly, because of course they did.

Their causes have been lame: oh, it’d pollute the ocean — even though research have shown that fireworks shows have but minor results — and it’d shut down a parking zone for the night. Boo hoo.

As I wrote:

It sure is coincidental that 2026 is the yr they choose to shut it down. It is, of course, America’s 250th b-day, an event that President Trump has touted relentlessly and has made plans for yuge celebrations.

Is the Coastal Commission frightened about the water, or do they just need to thumb their nostril at the president and patriots all over the place? You determine.

eliminatejoys: CA Coastal Commission Nixes Long Beach 4th of July Fireworks for Ludicrous Reasons

The blowback has been intense, as apparently, even voters on the Left Coast are sick of watching our elected officers suck the enjoyment out of all issues large and small. Gov. Gavin Newsom, who had nothing to say initially, felt the heat and belatedly tried to distance himself from the entire affair Friday:

“It wasn’t me!” he appeared to be shouting. “I have driven this state into the ground, picked every far-left position possible on policy issues, crushed the morale of the people, but I would never shut down a patriotic fireworks display, never!”

His fast dash away from the issue is, of course, solely because he’s by every indication getting ready a run for the presidency in 2028, despite an exhaustive and well-chronicled record of failures.

And like so a lot of what he says, this tweet is disingenuous and once again reveals his tendency to blame other people for his shortcomings. The Coastal Commission, you see, is closely influenced by the governor, and in fact, totally a third of its members are hand-picked by… Gavin Newsom.

Oh.

Don’t you assume that if he had leaned on his comrades in the Senate and his 4 personally chosen Commission members, it will’ve had a strong impact? But no, he was silent; it’s only because of the dangerous press that he’s saying one thing now. He doesn’t care about the residents of Long Beach, and he actually doesn’t care about celebrating our nation’s founding.

The Executive Director of the commission, meanwhile, just isn’t appointed — it’s a employees job by a individual employed by the commissioners. This is who Gavin’s cronies employed:

She’s the first girl to lead the commission, so what?

As I wrote beforehand, I’ve taken my youngsters (now grown) to the Long Beach fireworks show many a time, and it’s fabulous. Now, I assume, youngsters can watch patriotic shows on TV, beamed in from Texas or Florida.

Thanks, Kate.

And as I keep saying, when you’re the governor of a state, you’re the captain of the ship, and a captain is accountable for what goes down under his command. No, you’ll be able to’t be blamed for every single boneheaded transfer by a subordinate, but the general workings are for you to own.

It’s typical of Newsom to go working when accountability comes a‑callin’. This is the type of management we’ve seen in the Golden State for seven years — and the type of captaincy he’d convey to the nation if ever elected to increased workplace.

Editor’s Note: Gavin Newsom needs to flip America into one big model of California – a failed, overtaxed, dystopian nightmare.
