White House breaks silence on reports of Gabbards

Reports that Tulsi Gabbard is next on President Donald Trump’s chopping block are being vehemently denied by the White House, which claims to have “total confidence” in the National Intelligence director.

“@POTUS has whole confidence in @DNIGabbard, and any insinuation in any other case is completely pretend news,” wrote White House Communications Director Steven Cheung. “The president has assembled the most talented and impactful Cabinet ever, and they have collectively delivered historic victories on behalf of the American people.”

Cheung’s remark was in response to an article revealed by The Guardian claiming that Trump was offended with her after she allegedly shielded Joe Kent, who had damaged with the president’s stance on the Iran warfare.

The outlet claimed that the president has allegedly polled members of his Cabinet about changing Gabbard after she declined to criticize Kent, who has since resigned. During a Senate Intelligence Committee listening to, Gabbard deflected a number of questions from lawmakers about whether or not or not the nation posed a risk.

The reassurance from the president comes after Trump commented that Gabbard has a “softer” stance on Iran than him. Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, the president acknowledged, “I would say that I am very strong on the fact that I don’t want Iran to have a nuclear weapon because if they had a nuclear weapon they’d use it immediately.”

“I think she’s probably a little softer on that issue, but that’s OK. Some people are,” he added. “Most people aren’t.”

According to Trump, “Most people are saying thank you very much for doing what you did.” the president was then requested if he still had confidence in Gabbard despite their variations in opinions.
