NBC fans fume as beloved show canceled after three | TV Shows
NBC viewers have been left reeling after the network axed a slew of beloved shows.
The cuts include the revival of the courtroom comedy, Night Court, which has now been dropped after three seasons, along with Lopez vs Lopez, sparking outrage among viewers. Audiences flocked to X to express their anger over NBC canceling these fan-favorite sitcoms.
The cancellations didn’t stop there. Found, The Irrational and Suits LA — a spinoff of the series that shot Meghan Markle to stardom — have also been shelved.
One viewer lamented, “What a joke! 2 great sitcoms were cancelled. Night Court and Lopez vs Lopez! I pray that another streaming service picks them up.”
Others expressed their dismay, “NBC cancelled Found, Night Court, Lopez vs Lopez, The Irrational, Suits LA. 5 Shows. That’s a little crazy.”
After a single season running, Suits: LA is being axed, though its finale on May 18 will proceed as scheduled.
Melissa Rauch, known for her role in The Big Bang Theory, starred as Abby Stone in NBC’s revival of Night Court. She played a judge following in the footsteps of her late father Harry Stone, presiding over the same night shift courtroom in New York City.
John Larroquette returned to his beloved role as Dan Fielding, with Lacretta playing the outspoken bailiff Gurgs, Nyambi Nyambi as the diligent clerk Wyatt and Wendie Malick in a recurring role.
Lopez vs. Lopez wrapped up its third and final season just three months after its last episode aired on February 7, 2025.
The gripping drama Found, which centered on a team dedicated to finding missing individuals overlooked by mainstream media, was officially canceled this month after two seasons.
Another series that will be missed is NBC’s The Irrational, which also ended after two seasons. Despite these cancellations, NBC has announced several renewals, including fan favorites Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med.
These shows will be accompanied by Law and Order, Law and Order: SVU, the upcoming comedy Happy’s Place and the new sitcom St. Denis Medical.
