Jon Stewart mocks Trump for making Jeffrey Epstein | TV Shows

Comedian Jon Stewart paused his usual comedic routine to take a jab at the Trump administration for the mysterious vanishing of the Jeffrey Epstein list.

In his Monday night spiel, the anchor of The Daily Show on Comedy Central took a swipe at the presidential team over a recent memo regarding the Epstein saga, which Axios got hold of on Sunday, July 6.

The document uncovers that the DOJ and FBI have dismissed theories that Epstein used blackmail against influential people, was murdered, or maintained a list of clients—conspiracies endorsed by some conservative pundits.

“There was no list,” Stewart quipped, feigning an attempt to mesmerize his viewers. “There never was a list.”

Stewart then showcased a video of Attorney General Pam Bondi from February 2025, where she claimed to be reviewing the Epstein list right there on her desk, reports the Irish Star.

Following his departure from the Trump administration, Elon Musk tweeted a contentious remark in June, “@realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!” Although Musk removed this post later on.

In a response last month during an NBC News interview, Trump dismissed Musk’s insinuation as stale. “That’s called ‘old news,'” he stated.

“That’s been old news. That has been talked about for years. Even Epstein’s lawyer said I had nothing to do with it–it’s old news,” Trump asserted.

Musk began their clash by lambasting Trump’s legislative policy in a Twitter rant on June 3, calling it a “disgusting abomination,” soon after concluding his short tenure at the Department of Government Efficiency.

By June 5, Musk escalated the conflict by retweeting some of Trump’s old tweets critical of GOP debt ceiling increases, lauding them as “wise words.”

However, following the volatile exchange with the former president, Musk seemed to soften his stance, putting an end to their brief squabble.
