The nation music world has been dealt another blow as a young star with a uncommon cancer has given an update on social media.
Country music and blues star Nat Myers has had his honest share of unhealthy news so far in 2025, but he is had a lot of help from followers of the style.
Earlier this yr, Myers, who began his nation music profession in 2023 when he launched his debut album with Yellow Peril, was recognized with a uncommon, incurable cancer.
Now, this week has seen him hit by tragedy again, as his father has handed away.
“This mornin my father Daniel Lee Myers joined the lord,” the 33-year-old wrote on Instagram alongside a photograph of the person.
He continued his message with, “Dad, veteran, and friend to many. Rest easy, daddy, may your body and mind be whole again. Look over your poor son. August 2nd, 1948 — September 7th, 2025.”
Myers, already having the love and help of the nation music and blues world, was showered with heartfelt messages of condolence and prayer choices.
“So sorry, Nat,” Kelsey Waldon wrote. “Been a tough year. You’re a strong, strong soul. Keep fighting. Sending all the love.”
“Sending love and my condolences brother,” Langhorne Slim wrote, as Drayton Farley added, “Sending yall all the love and strength.”
Others wrote, “My deepest condolences to you and your whole family. Stay strong,” “Sorry for your loss my brother, love and healing to you and your family,” and “I can’t even find the words..just incomprehensible. I’m so sorry Nat. All my love to you and your mom.”

Myers cancer journey started back in February after he checked into a hospital with what he thought was a lung infection.
“As many of you all know I have been laid low by a rare cancer called a sarcoma,” the singer wrote on Instagram. “What I thought was a prolonged lung infection turned out to be much more sinister, with growth around my heart and pulmonary artery.
“Doctors of various humanity have given me days, or weeks to live, but I live by my odds and not theirs,” he added. “I’m presently trying for the next alternatives to overcome this cool deck of playing cards I’ve been dealt.
“I’ve been taken off most my IVs and gotten off a lot of the drugs they had me on. I’m feeling better than I have since I entered this facility and am hoping to continue my next step into recovery and my future as a survivor.”
At the time, Myers said he was “taking things day by day” and “conserving and building the energy I need to overcome this affliction.”
He added, “I refuse to speak from the past past tense, because there is beauty and life in the struggle I am currently fighting, and I will overcome this.
“My next quest is to access/gain contact with as many cancer services to access more correct care for what I need to succeed over this cancer. I have no idea how long this struggle will take, but I do know so long as my coronary heart beats I’ll overcome this.”
Myers recently went to get a second opinion from Memorial Sloan Kettering which provided him with better news of his condition.
He said since his tumors appeared to be responding to the chemotherapy, his doctors wanted him to “keep the course” as it was with OSU.
Myers added, “But they said that as trials current themselves, & as the tumors shrink, remoted therapies & more choices, are already in their pipeline, & half of the plan they’re mapping out for me.”
