Wednesday morning’s shooting comes about a month after a Texas man was taken into custody for allegedly threatening to detonate a bomb inside the ability.
Bratton Dean Wilkinson, 36, was apprehended by the authorities after arriving at the ability on Aug. 25. He allegedly donned a backpack with an explosive gadget in it.
Wilkonson allegedly displayed a “detonator” strapped to his wrist to an officer at the ability at 6:37 p.m. that day, triggering a shelter-in-place directive as officers called the bomb squad.
Wilkinson was charged with making terrorist threats.
A Department of Homeland Security spokesperson launched a assertion relating to that incident.
