Chicago Cops Told Not to Respond When Federal

We have reached a very harmful degree of political hackery. Dangerous, vitriolic rhetoric has been used by local political operatives in Illinois, and it has now taken a flip for the more serious. 

Bill Melugin and other sources are reporting that on October 4th, a CPD “Chief of Patrol” instructed his police officers not to reply when ICE/Border Patrol requested for help when they have been under assault following a taking pictures. This sort of order nearly never comes from the local precinct cops; that order comes from local politicians, either the mayor or probably the governor would have given such an order.

The Chief of Patrol who ordered the standdown is Jon Hein. It occurred on Saturday.

One of the highest-ranking officers in the Chicago Police Department barred metropolis cops from responding to calls for help from federal brokers who reported being surrounded by a large crowd in Brighton Park on Saturday, according to CPD radio transmissions.

CPD Chief of Patrol Jon Hein ordered metropolis officers to depart the world as tensions escalated following the taking pictures of a girl by Border Patrol brokers, supervisors said in recorded radio visitors.

Note that the order transmitted is at the end of the tape. It is clear as day. Actively refusing to shield ICE/Border Patrol from local violence will end result in more violence, and finally, somebody goes to be injured or killed if CPD officers should not allowed to reply to pleas from federal officers. The mob will discover out that cops is not going to reply.   

Politics has trumped common sense (pun meant). Politics has taken away cause. There are lots of precedents for this — all from blue cities. 

In 2020, when the “summer of love” kicked off in Seattle, with Antifa and other masked marauders taking over Seattle and then settling in at the absurdly named “Chaz” (later called CHOP), the cops in that metropolis have been told that only under sure circumstances may sworn officers enter the “autonomous” zone. In short, they have been instructed to give up to the need of people intent on forming a new nation, in the center of Seattle.

A taking pictures occurred in that space, with cops and first responders allowed to enter if they requested for permission to enter. When cops are instructed by political hacks to stand down, only dangerous issues occur. The East Precinct was under siege, but for boarding it up and placing out fires, that station would have met the same destiny as the third Precinct in Minneapolis.  

Shortly after the George Floyd riots began in Minneapolis, the cops have been under orders from political hacks that their precinct was not to be protected. Cops have been ordered to permit felonies to happen. Many of them escaped the third Precinct with nothing but their lives.  

When local state and metropolis cops are ordered not to stop crime, criminals will do what they select — and that is normally crime. When local cops are ordered not to help fellow officers – that is a like dystopian nightmare; the stuff of B-movie scripts where corrupt cops, on the take, refuse to help a fellow cop in misery because the cop that cop isn’t corrupt.  

Federal cops, ICE brokers doing their sworn responsibility are under siege. They are pelted with insults and often pelted with beer cans, spit on, and their autos are the goal of rocks.   

What permits battery on ICE brokers to occur? It only occurs when local political officers permit it to occur. When that occurs, criminals have free rein.  

Now in Chicago, ICE/Border Patrol brokers are being attacked. But CPD has been instructed to stand down virtually assuredly by political hacks.  

Recall that Illinois Governor JB Pritzker just lately instructed the ICE and Border Patrol are arresting harmless people. They (ICE) are the dangerous guys, not the unlawful aliens. 

The media helps to inflame the hysteria. For instance, the below is from an NBC article: 

The enforcement in and around Chicago turned lethal this month when an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer shot and killed an immigrant who tried to flee in his car when an officer pulled him over. 

In fact, the person shot was an unlawful alien named Silvio Silverio Villegas-Gonzalez. Villegas-Gonzalez tried to run over an ICE officer with a car. That is tried homicide with a harmful weapon,  and he was shot by the ICE agent. Had Chicago (and the state) not been sanctuaries for unlawful aliens, Villegas-Gonzalez possible wouldn’t have been emboldened to attempt to flee. His household called him variety and mild. Just not with ICE brokers, apparently.

With protestors interfering with ICE, local cops typically will clear the protestors once they develop into violent, but now, in Chicago, cops are leaving ICE brokers to fend for themselves. CPD officers have, apparently, been told to stand down and not reply to a request for help by ICE and Border Patrol.  

Federal officers are under siege.
