Bari Weiss faces “mass confusion” at CBS News as community staffers face conflicting orders on whether or not to reply to her memo requesting particulars on their work duties, according to a report.
Just hours after the memo was despatched on Friday, the Writers Guild of America urged union staffers to ignore the missive until CBS discloses whether or not their replies may serve as “a basis for discipline, discharge or layoff,” according to Variety.
But some producers at CBS News urged journalists to reply to the word, three people acquainted with the matter told Variety.
