James Martin was inundated with congratulations from Saturday Morning viewers on Saturday following stories of his engagement to girlfriend Kim Johnson.
The Saturday Morning host, 53, is believed to have popped the query to his 39-year-old personal coach associate, Kim.
On Saturday, the celeb chef offered his beloved pre-recorded ITV programme, James Martin’s Saturday Morning at Christmas, from his Hampshire kitchen and residence.
The Christmas-themed instalment featured biking champion Mark Cavendish alongside cooks Lesley Waters and Ashley Palmer-Watts, plus baker Richard Bertinet.
Throughout the show, as news of James’ reported engagement circulated, followers rushed to offer their well-wishes on Twitter, now X.Â

The reported proposal comes after almost two years together as a couple. They formally went public with their romance in March 2024, with sources indicating the duo are “happier than ever”.
Despite their comparatively short courtship, one insider noticed that “when you know, you know”. An insider revealed to The Sun: “Of course it’s taken James decades to finally get there and friends do share a wry smile that he’s U-turned on his staunch refusal to ever marry. But everyone has seen the change in him since meeting Kim and he’s never been happier.”
They added: “They are a wonderful couple.”
Speculation had been rife among his internal circle about whether or not he may rethink his stance on marriage. As of October, insiders hinted at a transformation in him since assembly Kim, suggesting this shift might pose difficulties for his ex-partner, Louise Davies.
