Kata Hay, a onetime contestant on NBC’s The Voice, was arrested this week in Oklahoma on a warrant tied to a lethal crash in Tennessee, according to law enforcement.

Hay, whose legal identify is Kata Huddleston, was taken into custody early Wednesday morning by deputies with the Osage County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities in Goodlettsville, Tennessee, had been looking out for Hay in connection with a vehicular murder investigation.

“She was arrested in our jurisdiction,” an Osage County official told GWN.

The arrest occurred after Goodlettsville police issued a warrant.

Prior to her arrest, authorities issued a “be on the lookout” discover, stating that Hay is perhaps touring with a white man and towing a camper as she headed toward Oklahoma.

Public information in Davidson County, Tennessee, point out Hay has an open misdemeanor DUI case, her second following a 2016 conviction.

She also faces misdemeanor costs for leaving the scene of a crash with more than $1,500 in property injury and for possessing an open container. Those offenses had been listed on December 10.

In a separate 2022 incident, Hay was arrested and later pleaded guilty to inappropriately touching a 16-year-old boy. The boy’s mom, a buddy of Hay’s, told police the singer made inappropriate feedback in entrance of the household and later admitted to the habits in a recorded dialog.

She also said Hay had been ingesting. Hay later testified in court, saying, “No, it was not a lie. That’s why I pled guilty, but it did not happen in that way.”

She also acknowledged she had been intoxicated and unable to clearly recall the incident. She was sentenced to six months in jail.

Hay was a contestant on Season 10 of The Voice in 2016.
