As the vacation season jingles ever nearer and President Trump’s first anniversary in the Oval Office attracts close to, Americans are decking the halls — and their minds — with a urgent query: Has the president performed Santa Claus or Scrooge this year?

The query arose in a current ballot from the Democracy Institute, where 1,600 Americans weighed in on whether or not the president delivered pleasure to the world or lumps of coal and discontent.

Gavin Newsom (5%), Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard (5%), former President Joe Biden (4%), former Vice President Kamala Harris (4%), and Secretary of State Marco Rubio (2%).

However, despite Americans’ perceptions, it seems that the president is making an attempt to unfold vacation cheer, having lately declared Christmas Eve (Dec. 24) and Dec. 26 a federal vacation.
