The 35-year-old died after a battle with cancer. Her household announced her passing in a post shared by the JFK Library Foundation on Instagram. Tatiana was born on May 5, 1990, to dad and mom Edwin Schlossberg and Caroline Kennedy, who is the daughter of the late U.S. President John F. Kennedy and First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

“I did not — could not — believe that they were talking about me,” she penned. “I had swum a mile in the pool the day before, nine months pregnant. I wasn’t sick. I didn’t feel sick. I was actually one of the healthiest people I knew.”

The mom of two, who shared a 3-year-old son and 1-year-old daughter with her husband of over 8 years, George Moran, underwent a number of remedies, including a bone marrow transplant, chemotherapy, and a CAR-T cell therapy medical trial, attaining remission a number of occasions over 18 months.

“[My family has] held my hand unflinchingly while I’ve suffered, attempting not to show their pain and unhappiness in order to shield me from it. This has been a great present, even though I really feel their pain every day,” she wrote.

Tatiana earned a BA in History from Yale and a Master’s in American History from the University of Oxford. She was an environmental writer and was in the planning stages of a research project on ocean conservation at the time of her death, having hoped to leave behind a legacy through her work.

“My son is aware of that I’m a author and that I write about our planet. Since I’ve been sick, I remind him a lot, so that he’ll know that I used to be not just a sick individual,” she wrote.

When it comes to her newborn daughter, Tatiana lamented that she wasn’t able to bathe or feed her daughter because she was at risk of infection after her transplants. “I used to be gone for nearly half of her first yr of life,” she lamented. “I don’t know who, actually, she thinks I’m, and whether or not she’s going to really feel or bear in mind, when I’m gone, that I’m her mom.”

Tatiana is survived by her husband, George, and their two youngsters, as nicely as her dad and mom, Caroline and Edwin, and her siblings, Rose and Jack.
