Traitors star Ron Funches reveals autism…
Ron Funches is opening up to followers.
The comic, 42, revealed on Instagram that he was recognized with autism after viewers watching his efficiency on Season 4 of “Traitors” urged he may need the condition.
“Well the internet told me I was autistic and was right,” Funches wrote on his Instagram Stories on Thursday. “You win this round.”

The TV persona added, “Thanks @thetraitorsus for helping me find out more about me through some type of cruel trauma.”
Before signing off, Funches shut down fan theories about his inappropriateity, writing, “Still not gay yet.”
Ron Funches reveals he has autism.
Just sooner or later earlier, the standup, whose son Malcolm, 21, was recognized with autism at 2 years previous, shared just how his interactions on “Traitors,” which had been sometimes curt, led to a later-in-life diagnosis.
Now, Funches said he’ll wait until his “diagnosis is done” to call himself “autistic.”
“I honestly didn’t know I myself had Autism I thought I was just an ally and parent of an autistic child,” he wrote on Threads after the episode aired, “but the way I felt I wasn’t being comprehended or understood while I thought I was being direct and seeing some of my own mannerisms made start the process of going to get a diagnosis.”

During his time in the citadel, Funches immediately made waves after spearheading Porsha Williams’ banishment, and teamed with Donna Kelce, who was a secret traitor.
He also received into a verbal argument with a few fellow forged members, including Dorinda Medley. At the roundtable, the previous “RHONY” star, 61, said she tried to get to know Funches and study about his household, to which he said his household is “none of your f–king business.”
However, over the years, Funches has been a vocal advocate for the autism neighborhood.

“Happy Autism Awareness Day!” he penned on Instagram in 2022. “Thank you to my son who brought autism awareness into my life, and continually teaches me so much every day.”
This past spring, Funches opened up about how proud he’s of his son Malcom amid his own diagnosis.
“He’s got great discipline, and I don’t know where he got it, because I never disciplined—I didn’t know how,” the “Loot” actor said in an April 2025 Instagram video. “Especially having a teenager and having someone have autism, I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t know what was teenager related. I didn’t know what was autism related.”

“I don’t know which of these things made him download 60 episodes of ‘The Price Is Right,’ but I know that’s not normal,” continued Funches. “’The Price Is Right’ is a fantastic show, but it’s the same rattling show every day. I’m like, ‘Son, did you need to fill the entire DVR with ‘Price is Right?’ He’s like, ‘I’m just making an attempt to keep season stats, dad.
He added, “I’m like, ‘OK, so, it’s the autism. Carry on.’”
