Pete Hegseth cuts ties with woke Harvard amidst | Political News

The U.S. Department of War cut all skilled ties with “woke” Harvard University, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced in a video on X Friday.

In the video, Hegseth, a Harvard Business School alum, argued that Harvard represents the “red-hot centers of hostility America activism.”

“Harvard is woke. The War Department shouldn’t be,” he declared. “Too many faculty members openly loathe our military. They cast our armed forces in a negative light and squelch anyone who challenges their leftist political leanings, all while charging enormous tuition. It’s not worth it. They’ve replaced open inquiry and honest debate with rigid orthodoxy.”

Harvard University has not addressed Hegseth’s announcement at press time.

The Trump administration has been attempting to revoke federal funding from higher education institutions in a purported effort to crack down on “woke” ideology and antisemitism.

White House attorneys filed an appeal after a judge ordered the administration to restore $2.7 billion in federal research funding it had frozen.

Harvard feuded with the Trump administration over the funding move, which it argued was a “stress marketing campaign” to gain power over academic institutions, in April.

Hegseth repeated longstanding claims by the administration that the university promotes anti-American values, accusing it of partnering with the Chinese Communist Party and celebrating Hamas, in its efforts to uphold DEI. He also accused Harvard of having a “pervasive institutional bias” that leads to “coddling of toxic ideologies” that negatively impact troops.

“Why should the War Department support an environment that’s destructive to our nation and the principles that the vast majority of Americans hold dear?” he said in the video. ”The reply to that query is that we must always not, and we is not going to.”

“For too long, this department has sent our best and brightest officers to Harvard, hoping the university would better understand and appreciate our warrior class,” Hegseth continued. “Instead, too many of our officers came back looking too much like Harvard — heads full of globalist and radical ideologies that do not improve our fighting ranks.”
