American soldiers killed in Iran war identified by | Political News
The Pentagon has identified 4 of the six American troops who have died in the Iran battle.
The names of the troops are Capt. Cody A. Khork, 35, of Winter Haven, Florida; Sgt. 1st Class Noah L. Tietjens, 42, of Bellevue, Nebraska; Sgt. 1st Class Nicole M. Amor, 39, of White Bear Lake, Minnesota; and Spc. Declan J. Coady, 20, of West Des Moines, Iowa.
The troops died on Saturday in Kuwait from an Iranian drone assault. The other two names will not be being shared until a day after the next of kin have been notified.
Eighteen service members have been also injured in the assault.
The six soldiers died at the Shuaiba port in Kuwait, a business harbor. The U.S. army ships autos and provides into the area through that harbor.
They have been the first Americans to die in motion since Feb. 28, when the U.S. and Israel struck Iran and killed Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei.
Since then, Iran has been attacking Gulf nations such as the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.
On Monday, former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) told Megyn Kelly that she was against U.S. soldiers being killed and the nation’s involvement with Iran.
Greene also posted about it on X after listening to that the soldiers have been killed.
“My God, these poor military members and their poor families. I’m sorry for them and praying for them,” Greene posted on X. “This was absolutely unnecessary and is unacceptable.”
The death toll is anticipated to increase, the Trump administration said.
“We expect to take additional losses, and as always, we will work to minimize U.S. losses,” Gen. Dan Caine, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said Monday.
“We honor our fallen Heroes, who served fearlessly and selflessly in defense of our nation. Their sacrifice, and the sacrifices of their families, will never be forgotten,” Lt. Gen. Robert Harter, chief of Army Reserve and commanding normal of the U.S. Army Reserve Command, said in a assertion.
