Ex-FBI boss Dan Bongino lives in fear as he | Political News

Former FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino revealed he “lives in fear” that “thugs” will threaten his life after stepping out of authorities.

Bongino, who stepped out of his function at the FBI in January, just lately appeared on Fox News’ Sean Hannity’s podcast, “Hang Out with Sean Hannity,” where he said that he lives in fear that “they’re going to come for me.”

“I’m scared, man,” he said during the interview. “I know what I did. And I’m proud of my work. And I am proud of what me and Kash [Patel] accomplished in the past year.”

He then went on to describe how he and Patel, who has been accused of extreme ingesting, did every little thing “by the book.” Nevertheless, he believes that if a Democratic administration entered the White House, they might “rewrite the book, just like they did for President Trump.”

“After reading what I read about how many people did this to President Trump, this Russia hoax, collusion, Crossfire Hurricane bulls–t, and not a single person stopped them,” he said. “I’m terrified they’re going to send some thugs to my house.”

It stays unclear who Bongino referred to as “thugs.” Interestingly, he has beforehand used the same time period to describe FBI brokers.

Bongino has beforehand defended his work at the FBI. In a February episode of his podcast, Bongino hosted FBI Director Patel, where they defended themselves against criticism.

“I think you and I did a pretty good job, but you know, it really isn’t hard when you focus on the bad guys,” Bongino said about Patel’s management.

“It’s not hard to do the job you signed up for if you’re allowed to do the job you signed up for,” Patel replied.

Later in the dialog, the 2 mentioned the FBI’s arrest of six of its most needed fugitives, which Patel credited to Bongino.

“You laid the groundwork for it. You worked quietly behind the scenes,” Patel said. “These numbers are truly historic and that was the foundational tectonic shift you and I put into place in the FBI.”

Despite now celebrating his success at the FBI, Bongino often clashed with the bureau, significantly over the release of the investigative information on intercourse offender Jeffrey Epstein. Prior to his controversial appointment, Bongino, a well-known right-wing podcaster who had been a Secret Service agent but had never labored for the FBI, told his followers that he would expose the “deep state,” selling conspiracy theories that Epstein was killed in 2019, quite than died by suicide, as official rulings notice.

Bongino’s feedback on political violence come days after an assassination attempt on President Donald Trump.

31-year-old Cole Thomas Allen, from California, is being accused of opening fire at the resort where the annual White House Correspondents’ Association dinner was going down. He was stopped by Secret Service brokers before he may attain the room where the high-profile dinner, attended by Trump and other Cabinet members, was being held.

Quickly after his arrest, authorities uncovered what they described as quite a few anti-Trump social media posts linked to Allen. He also allegedly despatched a message to members of the family and mates apologizing for the capturing.

“I don’t expect forgiveness,” Allen wrote. “Again, my sincere apologies.”

“I experience rage thinking about everything this administration has done,” he added.

During the manifesto, Allen also allegedly wrote about his anticipated targets, describing, “Administration officials (not including Mr. Patel): they are targets, prioritized from highest-ranking to lowest,” seemingly sparing FBI Director Kash Patel from his assault.

After receiving the writings, Allen’s brother reportedly contacted police in New London, Connecticut, at around 10:49 p.m., about two hours after the capturing, to share data about the incident. The police division said it then immediately notified federal law enforcement.

Meanwhile, Allen’s sister told the Secret Service and Montgomery County Police that her brother had legally bought a number of weapons from a California gun store and saved them at their dad and mom’ home in Torrance without their data.
