Fans have been left shocked when Tess Daly and Vernon Kay announced they have been ending their 22-year marriage. The former Strictly Come Dancing host, 57, and the BBC Radio 2 presenter, 52, shared a joint assertion on Instagram citing a mutual choice to end their marriage amicably and requested for privateness.

Their break up comes just months after Tess stepped down as host of the BBC‘s flagship show in late 2025. They share two daughters, Phoebe and Amber, and have said that their main focus stays on being supportive dad and mom.

The former celeb energy couple reunited in a surprise transfer as Tess took to social media and shared a candid second with her ex-partner on Wednesday. It comes amid the launch of her swimwear vary Naia Beach where she was joined by co-founder Gayle. The pair headed to John Lewis in Oxford Street to talk about their model and their new assortment.

In a surprise second, Tess took to her Instagram Stories, saying, “Here we are at John Lewis Oxford Street at their flagship store talking all things Naia.”

“Oh… look who’s here?” as Tess panned the digicam spherical, Vernon might be seen on the couch as he waved at the digicam.

She joked: “Oh, it’s Gayle,” who was sitting in between the previous couple.

Tess then turned to Vernon and said: “But you’re going soon as your off to The One Show.”

The former couple have been all smiles as Vernon got here to assist his ex-wife’s swimwear launch and they posed for photos together.

In a video shared with her 930,000 followers, Vernon opened up about Tess’ journey with her swimwear vary as he explained he had been there from the start.

He cheekily pulled out his favorite swimsuit from the vary, a duplicate of the bikini which was designed by their daughter Phoebe.

As he jokingly tried to sport the apparel, he called out, “What’s the tagline Tess?”

To which she replied: “Got you covered.”

Tess also captioned the short clip, writing, “Thanks Vern.”
