Druski got here to host the 2026 BET Awards with one mission: to roast all people. And while he completed that mission, some King of Pop followers assume one of his parodies would possibly’ve taken issues a step too far.
From his opening monologue to fake-outs involving Jay-Z and playful jabs at practically every superstar in attendance, Druski stored the Peacock Theater laughing all night time. According to The Shade Room, his opening sermon fashion entrance, Keke Palmer exchange, and shock superstar jokes grew to become some of the night time’s largest viral moments.
But one joke has the web particularly divided.
During the published, Druski debuted a pretend film trailer for JOE — a parody prequel impressed by the upcoming Michael biopic. Instead of focusing on the King of Pop, the sketch imagined Joe Jackson as the central character, poking enjoyable at the famously strict patriarch whose parenting fashion has been debated for a long time.

One viral post on X joked, “The Jackson family cease and desist OTW,” as followers reacted to the parody trailer and imagined how the well-known household would possibly really feel about it. The clip shortly circulated online, with viewers break up between calling it one of the funniest moments of the night time and questioning if Druski had gotten a little too snug.
The dialog only grew after retailers highlighted the flood of reactions surrounding the spoof. While many followers appreciated the comic’s willingness to take dangers, others felt the joke landed in a different way, realizing members of the Jackson household have been sitting just toes away.
Of course, Druski has constructed his model on uncomfortable comedy. Whether he’s enjoying a pretend pastor, an over-the-top report govt, or creating parody film trailers, his fashion has always relied on making audiences snicker while concurrently asking, “Did he really just say that?”
Judging by the response online, this second match completely into that formulation.
As for Janet, she appeared unfazed during the night and delivered one of the show’s most heartfelt moments, presenting Teyana Taylor with the Icon Award. Meanwhile, Jaafar remained centered on celebrating the tradition as anticipation continued to construct around his portrayal of Michael Jackson.
