Fox News anchor Dana Perino confronted backlash from audiences after seemingly welcoming the likelihood of President Donald Trump intensifying U.S. navy operations against Iran.

Perino delivered the comments during a section on The Five discussing Trump’s assertion that Tehran had breached a ceasefire.

“You know how it ends,” Perino said. “Yeah, you know how it ends. It ends with Iran being put away, yeah. And then, then, and then Trump and NATO make up. That’s that’s how it ends. I could write that tomorrow.” This comes as her fellow Fox News host Brian Kilmeade also confronted backlash this week after his “disgraceful” boast about Trump.

This follows Trump’s assertion that Pete Hegseth was ready to execute a navy strike during the funeral of Iranian Ayatollah Khamenei, who was killed in US and Israeli strikes.

When a co-host questioned Perino, “Who would play Iran?” Perino responded, “Penelope Cruz.”

She maintained that Trump had pursued diplomatic channels and implied he might possess intelligence relating to potential risks.

“President Trump gave peace a chance, and I, he said something today in one of the press conferences early or when he was with Zelensky, and he was talking about assassination attempts on his life and that he is a big target of Iran,” Perino said.

“And I went back and I read the sentence a couple of times, and I don’t know for sure, but it seems to me he must have additional information that they, they want to continue to try to kill him,” she continued.

Perino indicated Trump had reached his breaking level with Tehran. “And then it’s like, enough, enough with you,” she said.

She continued, “And also they, he can see and they’re watching, and during this funeral where he gave them a free pass, you can move about the country, you can have your funeral, and they were doing funny business, and he’s like, no more.”

Perino went on to add, “So he started to go after the small boats that were doing the mines and then what does Iran do? They track the neighbors.”

So I feel that he’s completed with the back and forth. He does not need to keep relationship this approach and he can trust in the United States navy to do what it wants to do so that he can transfer on from this,” she concluded.

The remarks sparked fury among online viewers.

“Iran being put away’? Really, Dana, I assumed you have been smarter than that,” one user wrote.

Another posted, “It’s time for the tenth plague @actualDonaldTrump. All other plagues have only hardened their hearts – they must fell defeated before any change can occur. #IranWar.”

Someone else chimed in, “Speaking of Ending Ceasefire Deal With Iran… Not good timing since gasoline costs about to surge going into summer season driving season and very important mid phrases..”
