Jorge Masvidal 'betting the home' on | MMA News
The authentic BMF, Jorge Masvidal, plans to guess big on the challenger in the UFC 334 main event.
A heavyweight title bout between champion Ciryl Gane and No. 5 ranked Josh Hokit headlines the UFC 334 battle card on Nov. 14 at Madison Square Garden. It might be Gane’s first title protection since being elevated from interim champion to undisputed titleholder. Masvidal believes Hokit will go away New York with the strap.
“That’s where I’m placing my money at, Hokit,” Masvidal said on Deep Waters.
Masvidal believes Hokit will use his wresting to put Gane in dangerous positions like we noticed when the Frenchman confronted Francis Ngannou and Jon Jones.
“Ngannou, he didn’t have an reply it didn’t seem to be or it appeared like he obtained to positions he was just content to be there, you understand? Has he made those enhancements on technical foundation and the mental? Because we all know to get away from any individual has you down, it takes gasoline. It prices a lot. Does he have enough of that to go do it against Hokit? I don’t assume so. I believe Hokit will get him down he may break him,” said Masvidal.
“I’m betting the home on Hokit,” he said. “And I’m actually betting the home on Hokit. Because of the odds, I’m going to put real f**king money on Hokit.”
At the time of publication, DraftKings had the odds set at Gane a -265 favourite and Hokit at +215.
