Tyson Alualu says that Aaron Glenn stays the best man for the Jets – despite the top coach even having doubts about himself. Glenn admitted that he needed to carry out better after his Jets aspect slumped to 3-14 in his first marketing campaign as a full-time head coach.
But Alualu, who was half of the defence organised and managed by Glenn at the Detroit Lions, has no doubt that Glenn is the individual who can finally get them nearer to reaching the playoffs.
“I love him as a coach,” Alualu said. “This is someone that has played at a high level as a player, coached at a high level in this league.
“I do think he is the right man, it’s just hard to win in this league. Some guys have success early; some guys need a change of culture to get to that point. He’s a guy that has been through it with the Lions to see that turnaround. He can get the job done, it is just a matter of time and how well you can get guys to buy into the bigger picture of where he wants to lead the team.
“As a person, player, coach? He’s been there, done that. He knows what it takes. I definitely think he is the right man for the job.”
